Essay Planning

Body Paragraph
Essay Structure

These picture have helped me to plan out my essay. I have meticulously taken notes from every article that I have read, and now is the time to collate thes bullet points into sentences, paragraphs and in the end, a stand alone cohesive essay. On this page I will go through what each paragraph will entail, and how it will relate back to the essay in question. If the sentence has no meaning or power, it can be taken out. The plan is for this to be a 1,500 word essay. I believe I will find this rather easy.

Paragraph 1- I will first start with the title, after all, this is a great opening question. I may even want to delve deeper into when this question started to be asked, and why it is at the forefront of media right now. Then I will begin talking about what Ketamine actually is. I can delve deeper into the scientific effects of ketamine, and what it can do to the body. I aim to include statistics. This will help set up the essay and build a solid foundation.

Paragraph 2-This is where I will give a brief overview of the history of house, and more specifically, the history of drug use in house. This is where i can relate the increased use of ketamine. There are some solid points that would allow me to bounce back and forth, arguing for and against the drug. House is religious, its a community. House is seen to be for everyone, so should people be able to take and do what they like? I believe this is a great argument

Paragraph 3-This paragraph will include the tweets that were attached to some of the articles. I want this paragraph to be about not only mine, but other peoples experiences. I can take quotes and statements from people to see the conflicting views on the drug. This is going to hit harder to a reader than facts are. There are real, with real experiences. Whether they are good, or bad.

Paragraph 4- Here I will talk about why it has become so popular. There has to be a reason right? The filtering in and out of substances happens all of the time, but never as quick and as intense as this. Is it to do with the price of recreational drugs, or is it simply giving people the feeling they crave?

Paragraph 5- This is where I will draw my essay to a conclusion. Re-hashing all of the points previously mentioned beforehand. Touching on important facts and also asking important questions, such as “Is Ketamine killing our dancefloors, or is the future of our rave culture changing unwillingly and unnoticeably?”

If I stick to this structure, I believe I will have written a great essay. I just need to be up to 1,500 words, and have all of my points clear and concise. However, the most important thing, is to keep it interesting.
