My name is Luke Angelis Ayres, I am 17 years old and this is my second year at Bradford college. I found last year very interesting. There were many things that I struggled with, but also multiple projects and opportunities that I really enjoyed. As this is the last year, and the grade we receive for our final project will correlate to the grade we get in our A Levels, I am prepared to work much harder. I aim to achieve the best grade I can. As mentioned in my previous introduction, I have been DJing and producing my own music for around 5-6 years now. However, this year was a sort of breakthrough year for me. The track that I used for my final project got put forward for the UAL awarding body, and also got released on huge house music channel, BLANC Audio. I will attach a link to that below.
Since the start of the year, I have managed to gain 27.8K across all streaming platforms. It has been my best year yet. On top of this I have found success with my acting career, working on 4 projects this year so far. ITV’S Maternal, ITV’s Passenger (release TBA), More Than Insurance (commercial), and ESSITY (commercial). These have been super fun to work on, although they may have taken me out of college for some time, they have opened up a lot of doors for me and introduced me to many influential people. My latest achievement came from my events company BULC. We recently put on our first event at the underground in Bradford. We packed the club with 200+ people who all came back with great reviews. It was a good night for all and we pulled in huge profits.
This was just a little introduction to who I am and how I have progressed on the course. I am looking forward to getting started this year and moving on to new projects. This year will require lots of focus and attention, but I am hoping to come out of it with a good grade.
