Hi, my name is Luke ‘Angelis’ Ayres, and I am currently studying on the Level 3 Extended Music Performance and Production course at Bradford College. For my final project, I have decided to write, produce, mix, master, release and promote my own 3 track EP. The EP will be in the genre of house. I have been producing my own music, and DJing for close to 5 years now. I have always released tracks as single, but have never taken the leap to release an EP or an album. This is why I have decided to do that as my final project. I have been a fan of house music since an early age. Both my father and uncle were DJ’s back in the 90’s, playing under the name of AFA (A for Ayres). From that point on, i have inherited their love for house, and have been influenced to produce my own music. I am truly enjoying the journey, and have met some great people during my time on the scene. I am excited to see what else happens whilst expanding my discography, and with that, my name.

The genre of House music is ever changing, it is hard to keep up with what trends are in or out. Social medias, such as Tik Tok and Instagram have been catalysts for the sudden change within the genre. However, I am a firm believer that if you actually enjoy the music that you are making, then others will too. There is no need to try and appease people. If you make good, quality music and people can tell that you are passionate about your creation, you have a much better chance of that piece of music being successful. That is my aim for this project, create an EP that I am passionate about, and can look back on in a good light.

The success of the EP is unknown, and will ultimately be down to the opinions of other people. But I am going to make sure that this EP has come from the heart, and is a project that I really want to release. During this project, I will be documenting every step. This will help you to see how exactly I have gone about creating this EP. I hope you enjoy.
