1. Learning basic music theory: Doing this wouldn’t just make me a better song writer or musician but also make me a better band member. I’d like to learn the note’s on the fretboard so if someone wants a solo for a specific key then i could play them that, accompanying that would also be learning major, minor, pentatonic scales and also learning the circle of 5ths so i can make chord progressions or know which chord’s work with each other .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Performing ‘Eruption’ with my band: I was going to learn ‘Mr.Crowley’ by Ozzy Osbourne but being a whole song rather than just a solo piece unlike ‘Eruption’ it would of been harder to focus on the soloing parts as there would be learning the rest of the song as well. And also i would need another band perform ‘Mr.Crowley’ with, as my band setlist is already full. Eruption contains more guitar techniques, is a shorter song, and i’ll be able to add it to my band setlist as theres only a little drum part at the start of the song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Performing with my band and developing my musicianship: I’ve scrapped the solo musician idea just because i’ve always wanted to be a guitarist mainly and love being one, and realised i really want to start perfecting that side of my career and start being proud of it. In the future i’ll get back into singing and playing. It also takes me about 3 weeks to sing and learn 1 song on guitar so that wouldn’t of been enough time in my project to do a 30min set like i wanted too. I want to focus on my stage presence as a guitarist, be able to manage a band better and get things organised and be least stressful as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
