Things to do:
- To learn my songs using tablature i will be learning it with the app songster on my phone and on my mac.
2. Learn all the notes on guitar. Below is all the notes on a standard tuned guitar which I’ll be practicing every week to memorise them so i can start to play and scale i want in any key i want and also to be able to form chords in any key i want.
3. Learn the common chord names. I’m doing this to remember simple chords off by heart. An example is if anyone asks to play a chord which is most likely from one blow then i can do it instantly making me a more useful guitarist and musican.
4. Learn tablature and learn each song with tablature. Im finally learning tab after realising that its a lot quicker to learn songs that way than watching video tutorials on youtube.
5. Learn the major, minor and pentatonic scales. Learning these 2 scales in combination to learning the notes on the fret board will make it so i can play any key in a major or minor scale.

6. Circle of 5th’s . It’s important to learn the circle of fifths as it’s a great tool to use in many aspects for musical ideas and creation. For example, when writing music, it shows you what keys are similar to each other, allowing you to create great chord progressions. You can also use the circle of fifths for notes, chords, and keys.
7. How to change a songs key and play it. This is greatly use full because there definitely be a time a singer will need me to play a song in a different key, most likely to suit their voice and will expect me to be able to do this if i want to be in a good band.
