What is the project about?: Project 2 is about arranging and composing music on a music software platform like Logic pro x and Ableton live. And also learning music theory to make our own songs with 2 instrument\vocals or both.
What are you going to be doing?: On logic we are going to be creating a song that will compliment a piece of film. On Ableton we are learning to make a whole composition for our selves using its digital software. And learning music theory and then going to be applying it compose our own song.
How will you be doing it?: For Logic i am using a mix of digital sounds and recorded guitar. The mood of the song is going to be a mixture of intense metal and soothing blues. On Ableton i will be doing the same mix with logic but this time the song is going to be more a full metal genre style song, this will be done with some software on Ableton like drum and then also recorded plugged in guitar & bass. For the song writing i’m going to be using an electric guitar, this is going to be played by me and i am also going to be writing lyrics and singing them too, to do this i’m going to be using the music theory we learnt with nick to help me use the correct chords and choose the right scale to use for my solo
What equipment will you be using?: For logic and Ableton i will be using my electric guitar?bass and the mac computers to create my digitally composed music. For the song writing i will be using my electric guitar with an amplifier and me for the singing.
SMART Targets
Specific: I need to put more documentation research and evaluation into my work (basically need to put in more effort) and also make less spelling mistakes. To improve on this i am going to do more research into my subjects and instead of typing my evaluations i will record myself to document my work. Also im going to improve my time management by going straight home after college and getting straight onto college work as i had to rush my work right at the end of college, resulting in a poor grade.
Measurable: It will be better because i have now got to grips with the collage routine but i’ve also now realised i have to stop spending time with people when i can’t afford it and catch up on my work instead.
Achievable: I can do it because now i have maximum time for this project as last project i was on holiday for a week which really messed me up and threw me off routine, but i’ve also learnt from last project to do my time management better and stop meeting up with people when i don’t have the time to do it.
Relevant: It is important to me because i would like to finish this project with a good grade and also do it without rushing so i can use that skill for next project and have a better college experience overall.
Time-bound: I will be starting this since i have written this evaluation which is on the 20 November 2023.
