•Evaluate your research. Did you do enough? Was it relevant and useful? What else could you have researched?: I think i did the sufficient amount of work to get a good grade, i purposely made sure i had write in a good understanding of detail thats going to make sense and give off that i have a a decent understanding of what Im doing. I think i should of done more research on mixing, queens of the stone age as it doesn’t look like an incredible amount of work but Im aiming for in depth detail then how much i can write.
•Evaluate your practical skills – using software, understanding theory, song writing techniques, etc: Id say that my skills using mixing with logic have massively jumped after the project and I now know how to use eq, compressors, noise gate, pan, reverb, and the automation which I couldn’t do before. Though my song writing skills and music theory is something i now know i need to work on as they are lacking a lot. My management this project with keeping my work updated on digital space has massively upgraded as i was constantly caught up the whole project and didn’t need to rush at all to complete work.
•Think about whether composing or song writing is a career you’d like to pursue or whether you’d like to do future projects with these skills. If it is, how would you go about it, or in other words what should you do to develop your skills further?: Im not sure at the moment if songwriting would be something id want to be for a main role in a band as its not for me, but id definitely want to improve it later on in life. On the other hand i really like composing the music and is 100% something i would contribute in a band and want to keep improving which is why Im going to learn a decent amount of music theory.
•Did you enjoy the project as a whole?! What do you need to improve for future projects? Do you have any ideas for future projects relating to composing or song writing: I enjoyed this project the most as I learnt a lot from it and have had a good time learning the ways of mixing and developing myself more as a musican. Ive learnt through this project that i need to work on my signing with my own vocals, writing lyrics and my voice overall, also my music theory needs work as i had no idea what chords where used for this song until i got help from Abi swift. Relating to this project i am using project 5 to up my game as a vocalist, lyricist and upping my game with music theory too.
