Final major project (page 5) 2024

Final out come planning

To further develop my prints, I decided to use different techniques: embroidery, collage, Lino print and flower print . I revisited these techniques and processes because I want to use prints so I also tested some potential methods and ideas for that.

The reason why I didn’t chose the others is because the don’t portray my intentions like how I imagined they would. And I wanted to include an element of nature within my work.

This one is my most successful result. I used red acrylic paint for the background and I printed my design with black acrylic paint . Then I collage the figure with fake leafs. I like this because the figure is blocked out and it’s being concealed with in nature and the silhouette of the figure’s face is being hidden.

I have experimented with this shown in the image above, I have used some fake flower petals to collage with over the hand instead of the fave and used black and white paint to print with as well as mono printed with fake flowers on top. My favourite part of this was the mono print flowers. I think for future ideas I’m going to incorporate that idea into my tests. This also reminds me of the flower prints with I made earlier on in the project.

The things I would change about this is the fact I used a glue gun to attach the elements of nature. This is because I don’t like how I can see the globs of dried glue and its even mire visible on the petals one I don’t like this because it looks messy and it kind of destroys my work.

I would also change the colour choice because they don’t communicate nature to me the colours are dull and boring.
