class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i think in this project i have understood the tools in logic and have adapted parts of the software with mac commands (command alt 8) for a zoom software i think the genera that i picked suits this projet becuse of the cosmic aspects of this movie i think it adds to the atmophere and changes the tone of the movie i like the intro that i have done as i have used a rage of instruments and made thm sound slightly synthetic whilst still being coherant and in time to make Shure of this i used the quantise feture to keep the parts in time i think the main riff has good aspects as it is slightly strange to give a different feel to the movie though i think that this riff does make the song seem slightly to repetitive i think in the future i could reduce the amount of repeatability within the track i also think in sertan section such as the main organ section the sound may be slightly to heavy for this type of song another aspect i like about this song is the outro i made a fade out at the credits where i had a echoing hi hat for the outro<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>how does this deviate from my original idea <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the main difference between this and my original idea is i wanted to make something with horror elements and I changed this idea because it wouldn&#8217;t have fit as well with the movie as the movie shows more nature than obscurity and horror because of this i thought that it would be off-putting for this sort of film so i changed this for some focused on synth wave and industrial for my track <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>how does this sync with the movie <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i think that this syncs with the movie well as it can give a fresh perspective on what is occurring instead of just a time laps it makes the film seem like a phycdelic trip and i feel it align with the title of temporal distortion better as temporal is related to time so i can use time in a strange way as time is something as humans we don&#8217;t fully understand as it is the the 4th dimension i tried to make the intensity of the instrumental relate to the movie and if there was more space elements i would add more layers and more types of sounds to make it seem stranger until the outro where as the movie rolls to credits i tried to make a fade out that was seamless and didn&#8217;t distract from the film or the credits <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>what did i like about this composition <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i liked the the main riff as it was memorable and fit in to the rhythm well i liked the drums as they made a strong backbeat to the song and provided something that i could write around for the composition i like the outro because of its seamlessness and effects as the hi-hats have reverb and echo to make a distant sound <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>what i didn&#8217;t like and what i could use to improve <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i think that i overused panning as i had chords panned to one side and drums paned to the other i think it did make a strange sounding effect but i think i overused it near the end with all of the additional electronic drums i also think that accessional i think the lower end takes to much of the sound and causes the lower end to be to dominant in the overall sound i also think in seitan parts there is too many synths and causes the sound to be to syntonic is areas of this track i think this can also be slightly distracting from the movie  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>improvements i could make in the future <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i could incorporate more elements to the track i could also do more planning before i start composing to try and fin a scale and key for the track as going in to this track i had no idea for what key i wanted to wright i this made the wrighting process more difficult as i had no starting sense of direction harmonically<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ableton final track<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>evaluation <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for this track i think the things that i did well is the drums as tehe is lots of different drum parts and all of the drums are in time and syncted with the organ and guitars i think the guitars are good but a bit messy the timing is slightly off to improve this i will learn more about how to count beats with a gutar and will truther my knowledge on rhythm guitar i like the doom guitar (the first guitar) this gutar has good timing for the moast part with the accessional out of sync note makes the guitar an extra but not the main focuses of the track i also like the organ solo though i do think that it is slightly to fast for the song i do still think it works well with the track and is still in time i would also like to improve my knowledge on chord harmony as i think it would make my solo better and would give a greater solo as though i thik its clean thare is still a degree of mess and repeated chords i could improve by learning more scales and scale types for example pentatonic blues and major scales i think this can add venation to the track i also think that i could add more instrments to make the project better and to add a larger sound to this track i think i could have added some more symbols and added a heavier crash to my drum rack to give a more powerful sound i also think i could have added a bass guitar to the song to give it a stronger backbeat from the string instruments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>what can i do in future to make the project better <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i could learn more production techniques in Ableton to make the song less ruff around the edges i think i could make the sound cleaner and could add lyrics to the song in future to sell the concept of the song more i also think i could have made the song longer and culd have added a better ending to the track <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>what do i like about this project <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i like the downturned guitar that occasionally plays to add an extra layer of sound i also like the drums as they are both simple is sections and intrcate in other sections i also like the main riff but i do think its slightly to fast paced <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>how did this devate from my original idea <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">my original idea was to make an industrial track with influnces from bands like Rammstein nine inch nails and ministry but during this compsition i have switched the style to be more like black sabbath with mixes of sludge thrash and melodic death metal with bands like black sabbath pardise lost and overkill my original project idea was about perception being realty and was going to be more industrial with mechanical sounds to sell the robotic gimmick i had in mind but i changed this because i didn&#8217;t know how to use these sounds and didn&#8217;t have a good enough understanding of how to chang the sound of instruments (the original name for this was project-precept) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
