I think the performance went smoother than the mock because there was more preparation going into this performance as we had all the equipment and everything was set up before final the performance, the songs were better in the final performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the rhythm during this performance was fine everyone kept in time for a large amount of the performance as the gaps between the songs where better filled in the final performance compared to the mock. This could be with less down time and more speaking between songs on the set compared to the mock where there was a large break in the beginning and after save tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think overall the audience had parts where there was more engagement like at the start of all of the songs but then the energy slightly falls of near the middle of the songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also think the stage presence was ok but i still think it needs more movement during the songs i think the intros and outros for the songs were good as there was no mistakes and were overall rhythmically accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the dynamics and tone are around the same as the mock performance and overall is accurate to the songs as there was different tunings between save to night and how you remind me. This made a more accurate tone for the song and the speed throughout the performance was good, but the final song was slightly to fast this wasn’t really noticeable during the performance so it still worked out decently well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the performance i don’t think there was any challenges in the team as everyone had part to learn play and also knew what other members needed to learn. Everyone had agreed to playing a certain instrument as they knew it best or experimenting yielded instrumental changes to make the project greater, however this did take many changes from the beginning of this project. during the rehearsals some times there were people missing this effected some of the rehearsals like for example in one of the sessions we didn’t have a drummer so this effected the rhythm <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the technical aspect such as the sound quality was great nothing was to high or stood out as being to loud or unevenly mixed. The bass and guitar were well mixed to the point that you could hear them, but the wall of sound that was made wasn’t to powerful to the point where the drums or keys could still be clearly heard and followed in the mix. I also think that the vocals easily were able to be heard fine on top of this wall of sound provided by the instruments as nothing was to heavily weighted overall this made for a well rounded mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other technical aspect was the lighting, I think the lighting worked but they could have been more variation in the lighting. The lights could have been a bit less intense but this may have effected the performance as there was less area on stage, that may have been visible. This may have made the instruments harder to play and could have effected the accuracy of the playing if the lighting was any different, therefore i think that the lighting worked well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance went well as everyone in the band agreed on the night. I think the continuity of the set was good as there wasn’t much down time on the set, we were able to both quickly get on and off stage smoothly. This is important to keep the show going as i also think the timing was good during this performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the future performances i could improve by having more focus rehearsal sessions this could be by working on specific parts outside of college so the parts in college will be better and we can find parts that need fin tuning to progress faster or spending more time working on learning the lyrics to the songs before these sessions i could warm up my voice to insure that there is no issues during the set, i could do this by following a guide on you tube regularly, this would speed up the overall process. I think for the future I could be more conscious of the monitor mixing as this can reduce the set up time and can increase the accuracy of the performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience interacted by clapping along to the drums during the songs ‘breakfast at tiffany’s ‘and ‘how you remind me’. The other vocalists introduced the songs, the audience cheered when they heard the songs if they were recognised this helped to add energy to the performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would say the main thing that the venue impacted is that it was seated this may not happen at many other local venues as most of these venues have standing areas as there is less tables\/seating. I also think the tickets being free may have changed audience expectations as they may be expecting less as they didn’t have to pay for anything within the performance. Most of the audience was family or friends of the bands that were preforming therefore there was lower expectations and increased support during the performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
