In this task I am showing all of my test shots with the camera to get used to it and know how it works for the actual recordings.
In these pictures i have taken a book and just started to play around and working out the different ways to blur the words out.
I decided to start changing the angle of the camera and zooming in and trying to focus on only the middle sentences.
In my last try I had the same angle as I had before and zoomed in. Additionally, I removed the top light because it gives the environment of the image an emotion, its dark and dull which it shows sadness and seriousness and thats what I am trying to focus on, to give an emotion to each of my pictures.
Since the object I will be using for my advert is a watch, I start test shot the watch. Although I was struggling a little bit but I was still learning and getting the hang of unfocusing and focusing on the watch so there was some fails.
What matters was the small details. Like adding the perfect background and the lighting, etc. So I basically added a black background to make the watch and its colours stand out. Another detail was the reflection underneath of the watch. For the reflection I used an Ipad and just used the screen, and it helped a lot because it worked out the way I was looking for.
For my advert I borrowed a canon camera from central media and i recorded it with a speed of 25fps in the drama studio. the reason why I chose to go to the drama studio is because it hadgood lighting and it had big black curtains that I used as the background and just had a table and placed the curtain over it so I had a place to put the watch. Also to make the watch stand I added some paper at the back of the watch without making it visible in the camera.
The reason why i choose this watch was because the colours and the style of the watch look expensive and manly which is what I am looking for. And the way the silverness is shining makes it pop out. it is also eye catching and will grab the viewer’s attention. i also have a keen interest in watches as i like to advertise them to my brothers at home. i also thought that doing a watch advert would be very useful as i like the idea of advertising it and also im doing something that i like in my project.
i edited my advert on adobe premiere pro, it took me a few days to edit as i wanted my advert to be very professional and stand out. my project was 10 minutes long at first but then i deleted the clips and adjusted it as it didn’t seem in good quality half of the clips were very blurry as the camera isn’t focusing and i thought that deleting the unwanted bits would be better as i didn’t want to bore the audience therefore i made it one minute long. i took a look at some adverts on youtube and most of the ones that i had viewed were very short and it inspired me to do the same to mine.
The price for my watch is £30. i picked this price because it is affordable and also it is free delivery giving it more chance to make it buyable.
My audience for my watch advert is 18-40, because it is very manly amd also i did ask questions with people in my class and the majority said that the watch should be for people that are older which fits for my audience type.
