This website goes through 30 of the most popular acoustic songs, since I’m in an acoustic duo, I thought it would be best to look at some acoustic songs that we should cover so that we know what people will like, and enjoy listening to.
Some bands an artists that caught my eye were: The Smiths, Alice In Chains, Radiohead, Oasis, The Beatles and Queen. Me and Faye are a fan of all these bands so not only did we want to cover songs other people know and love, we wanted to cover songs that we know and love so that we’d enjoy the project more.
So, our setlist looks like this:
As you can see, we’ve included songs that are well known and popular to our setlist but we’ve also included a few songs that are more for us to play and enjoy learning as it’s a song we really love.
I personally feel like our setlist is very good, it has a mix of upbeat and more slower songs and I feel like all of the songs are very well known. I’ve had a few comments from friends that the setlist may be “too depressing” however I feel like there’s a good mix of both happy and sad songs and when we sort out the order of the setlist, they’ll all fit perfectly with each other.
