I feel i did a good job at explaining what my final project idea is and how i was going to pull it off. I discussed all the main themes that needed to be known which meant i had a clearer view on my project and how it will work out with the time i have. It also showed me how i can improve on certain things. I also feel i included a good amount of research that i will be needing to do which means i will have to do the research and not just put it off.
However I feel, as Nic said, i haven’t fully thought out the process of how i will make it happen (through the rough timetable i made) and that i haven’t allowed time for myself to be creative and experiment. I feel could have added a few songs that inspire me in the presentation to show those what type of music i am trying to make without just naming a band. I also didn’t really think about how tricky it might be to write meaningful lyrics.
To improve i will rethink the timetable to be able to fit more things in without having to rush anything and i’ll set certain days of the week to just experiment with ideas. I will continue listening to songs in the artsy/rock genre to keep getting inspiration for potential ideas. I will also be listening more closely to the lyrics of those songs and analyse them and do research about them to fully understand how the writers came up with those lyrics and possibly use their techniques.
