In this project we are doing 3 different tasks.
Firstly, we are learning multiple jazz songs to perform in a care home for people with dementia. I will be playing the guitar, doing some head parts and comping parts in the band.
Secondly, we will be put into work placements. This will be with Bingley Music own, working with them to come up with ways in how to improve Bingley’s music scene in order to make it a music town.
Finally, we will be doing university research and starting on our journey to get into university. This includes looking at universities and courses, looking at funding and budgeting and starting our UCAS profile and personal statement.
Targets
This term i would further like to improve my guitar skills, and bringing my confidence even more up for performing. This means i would like to try doing more lead parts in songs and really trying to push myself to my limits so that i can improve.
I would also like to work on my research skills so that i am able to fully understand what my work is about and so that i can learn more about my subject. This will be really helpful to improve this project so that i am fully able to take in the university side of the project.
