We went on a trip to Bingley to have a look around the town to see all of its music venues and places to find music. The main place we looked at was the Bingley arts centre where we met two men who work in the music industry to help set up the stage and PA for a gig they were putting on.
Whilst we were there we helped set up all of the monitors, making sure they were all connected to he PA system and then tested them out to see if they were working. We also helped build the drum riser and talked about how to get into the music industry, how much you can earn, what you could be potentially doing and that making connections is the one thing that will get you far in he industry.
It was a really interesting time in Bingley, we learnt about all the events they put on, including Bingley music festival. I even learn about some famous bands that have played there before (Echo And The Bunny men stood out to me).
These were the speaker that they used at Bingley arts centre. These speakers were hired from a man who bought all of the speakers that they used for the Live Aid concert in which Queen performed in. I found this extremely cool, knowing that Queen’s songs were being played live threw these exact speakers was a really cool fact that found out.
