My inspiration would be most definitely be music. I think in any sort of media music is the one constant that makes its way in every time.
I am always listening to music when editing, writing, filming and even writing this right now. For some reason, which I’m sure has some scientific reason I’m not smart enough to understand, I always work better when listening to music and overall I feel like it boosts my productivity.
For example, during writing for my film “Adolescence” I would often listen to music while writing out a scene so I could picture the scene properly with the music from the scene. This would help me found out when people are talking and how they would sound in contrast to the soundtrack.
I got a lot of inspiration for my film from the song “Us Against The World” which made me flesh out the characters in the film. The final scene shows Blue upset because he has many people in his life but still feels like it’s “him against the world” but Rose makes him then feel like its them against the world, or rather “Us Against The World”, which is why the credits features the song directly after that scene.
