{"id":842,"date":"2023-10-06T14:05:23","date_gmt":"2023-10-06T13:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10662538\/?page_id=842"},"modified":"2024-03-04T10:20:40","modified_gmt":"2024-03-04T10:20:40","slug":"project-1-evaluation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10662538\/project-1-evaluation\/","title":{"rendered":"Project 1: Evaluation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>So to begin with I came up with the idea to create a story book at first I thought it could have been a normal reading book so I chose another thing which I am good at and that is podcasts!. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evaluation of Project 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What was good?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Great story idea and structure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I kept to my timetable<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first time I had independently completed such a project<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What was not so good?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Podcast needed technical improvements e.g. mono on both speakers ( look at Lewis\u2019s feedback) &nbsp;Also&nbsp;needed the script to be read<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cast members kept leaving so I had to look for replacements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My illness prevented me from being an important class on editing and this may have affected the quality of my podcast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finishing the project too quickly- it was rushed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><u>How would you improve it?<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Redo the podcast according &nbsp;to the feedback and &nbsp;find a better place to record, I recorded the original podcast in a room with a lot of echo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find new cast members ( one\/two)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic at hand<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic we was all given was storytelling which we could do in any form the options were: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A short film <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A digital storybook <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A storytelling podcast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To start of with I began to write my story which is called New Order which is now available on Soundcloud. I wrote all of the script out and kept making changes to it.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the first chapter of the soon-to be book more on that later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image this timetable I created for the project really helped me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The positives and negatives of the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project I ran into many walls I had to get around in order to get the product I wanted instead of a version which I was not happy with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Positives<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Great story idea and structure <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>execution was successful and enabled me to branch out into the creative field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Great usage of the action plan timetable  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project (for me) being a one person thing. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The negatives are <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>People kept dropping me meaning i had to get other people constantly <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Having a day off due to sickness meaning loss of important lesson <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finishing the project really early.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The start of pre production <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So it was time to start pre production and I was ready to record my podcast which I did successfully and then went onto Adobe Audition 2023 to edit it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure around the software as I have never used it before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final Product<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After editing I uploaded it to Soundcloud and made it public so my family memebers <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-soundcloud wp-block-embed-soundcloud wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div uploading my podcast to Soundcloud I then shared a link to Facebook where my family and friends could listen to it and give me feedback on it here is what they had to say-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dad &#8211; &#8220;Well done son!, I liked the theme of the story and the direction you could make this a big thing.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auntie- &#8220;Very good dear nephew, you could have improved the sound quality a bit more but overall good job.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those are two examples of feedback I have gotten from family members there is a lot more feedback but I only wanted to get two pieces due to there being many responses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think if I had allocated myself more time instead of finishing the project early and moving onto the evaluation I could have made the podcast more
