social media can influence advertisements’ effectiveness because you can reach a larger audience, target specific demographics, reach your target audience on their favorite social media platform, and interact with your customers/prospects.

DIFFERENT TYPE OF SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

Youtube- Youtube is a platform that it’s advertisements can be personalised to the viewers liking which relates to YouTube statistics for example 50% of people may like animals and get animal advertisements where as 30% may like sugary stuff and might get advertisements relating to sugary items. Video marketing dominates the content marketing industry today. YouTube, the pioneer video sharing platform and the second largest search engine, experienced a 4.9% growth rate in 2021 according to SEMrush statistics. In 2022, the number of YouTube viewers is expected to hit 210 million in the US alone! As videos continue to impress and engage customers, we are anticipating some amazing things from YouTube in 2022. 

Snapchat- A platform that has advertisements in the form of a snapchat story. This will bring more young people in because most young people use snapchat. Around 54.4% of Snapchat users are female and 44.6% are male. India has the most Snapchat users (115.95 million), followed by the U.S (106.2 million.) The third country based on the Snapchat audience is France (24.1 million.)

Twitter- Is a platform where most content creators and companies reside although where most people have drama amongst themselves about silly little things therefore leading people to be “cancelled” on Twitter meaning they go off the platform.70.4% of Twitter users are male, while only 29.6% are female. Around 23% of U.S. adults use Twitter. Worldwide monetizable Daily Active Users (mDAU) in Q4 2021 were 217 million. In the US, 46% of Twitter users report using Twitter daily. Facebook- Is the number one most popular social media platform of 2022 with roughly 2.93 billion monthly active users as of the second quarter of 2022, Facebook is the most used online social media network worldwide. The platform surpassed two billion active users in the second quarter of 2017, taking just over 13 years to reach this milestone.
