For my project on culture, I have chosen to explore urban culture. I have chosen to explore this as I feel a personal connection to the culture and believe my area includes a lot of influence I could use for ideas around my final outcome. I have generated ideas for my project by visiting an abandoned factory. The factory had lots of graffiti which I will use as inspiration for my own graffiti piece. For my artist research, I decided to look into music artists Koj and 1jack instead of typical artists. I did this as I like their choice of cover art and how their lyrics can reflect an urban lifestyle. For one of my pieces, I would like to create an album cover that can reflect my chosen theme. For this, I may use different styles of graffiti and lettering\/fonts for the best effect. Currently, I am looking into different aspects of urban culture, for example the fashion side and different areas that represent different urban ideologies. In the future, I intend to create a portfolio that creates a feeling of journey through my sketchbook, including lots of bright colours whilst also creating a gritty effect. I want to explore with photography and abstract art during this project, so my main focus will be on those.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
