The culture I have chosen is Kosovo, especially the fashion aspect of it. I have chosen this because it is my culture and I want to look deeper into Kosovo as I want to connect more with my heritage. My theme for this project is the clothes that are worn on special occasions in Kosovo and how they represent the country. I have generated ideas through looking at artists who use different textures and colours in their art that surrounds the creation of clothes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Artists I’ve researched are Pajtim Osmanaj and Buron kaceli. Osmanaj mainly works constructing clothes and blending his art into fashion in contrast, Kaceli depicts figures wearing traditional clothing. I want to look at other artists too that link with Kosovo not specially to fashion since there are a lot of talented people. Another form of research I’ve done is collecting primary and secondary images to construct mood boards. I plan to use more materials that you can find at home, such as scrap paper as well as paint, spray paint and more want to experiment a lot with my ideas through producing many outcomes and drafts of my final pieces using different techniques and colour combinations. For my final piece I’m thinking of making a piece of cloth that can be a reenactment of traditional clothing worn in Kosovo, maybe even manufacture and design making a large item. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
