{"id":1687,"date":"2023-01-23T12:19:51","date_gmt":"2023-01-23T12:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10656512\/?page_id=1687"},"modified":"2023-01-24T16:15:51","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T16:15:51","slug":"aims-objectives","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10656512\/aims-objectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Aims &amp; Objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aim:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To research, design, and construct a fully-functioning electric guitar from scratch, whilst documenting this process via filming, editing, and releasing a YouTube series.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Construction<\/em><\/strong><ul><li>Research guitar design, looking at stylistic influences.<\/li><li>Research and select woods, materials, and hardware based on tone, workability, and price.<\/li><li>Design an electric guitar, whilst using accurate measurements.<\/li><li>Acquire woodworking skills through guided workshop practice.<\/li><li>Implement acquired woodworking skills to form the basic shape of base components in an electric guitar (body, neck, fretboard).<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Sand and finish components in a safe manner, remaining vigilant of potential dusts and aerosols.<\/li><li>Cut fret wire and attach frets to fretboard.<\/li><li>Connect body components to create an empty guitar in which hardware can be introduced.<\/li><li>Solder and wire electronics together, before fitting into the guitar&#8217;s cavities.<\/li><li>Fix hardware such as the bridge, tuners, and nut to the guitar.<\/li><li>String the guitar and tune to standard tuning.<\/li><li>Test the hardware functions as intended through connecting the guitar to an amp and playing.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Documentation<\/em><\/strong><ul><li>Record the process, including footage of the woodworking alongside explanatory and evaluative spoken sections.<\/li><li>Learn basic editing skills.<\/li><li>Source royalty-free music to place in the edit as background music.<\/li><li>Edit footage into videos, considering duration, content, and quality.<\/li><li>Upload videos to YouTube as part of a weekly series on my channel.<\/li><li>Compile most relevant footage into a concise package to be presented at the final showcase.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aim: To research, design, and construct a fully-functioning electric guitar from scratch, whilst documenting this process via filming, editing, and releasing a YouTube series.
