Every role in the live performance industry plays a huge part in making the whole thing come together; for a truly successful performance to come around, it takes all involved to bring their A game.
Talent – Of course, live performances need performers. This includes everyone from the A-list stars to someone in the background for their first performance.
Venue – This encompasses everybody at the venue, behind the scenes staff and management. They all need to help out everybody in the venue on the night and set things up prior.
Promoter – Publicises events to draw in the audiences, they are either with the artists or in-house with the venue.
Tour Manager – Takes on most responsibilities for the artists with regards to the tour itself, often liaising with many other people involved in the production of live events.
Booking Agent – Essential in getting the ball rolling with live events. If working with the talent, they will look to book suitable venues, but if they work for a venue, they will look to book relevant artists.
Technicians – Responsible for setting up and troubleshooting all the technical aspects of the events, be that sound or lighting.
