Explanation:

My idea of Bradford having a China town by using a video and research of city of culture 2025. This will not be limited to just Chinese stores this will be Korean Japanese Mongolian Thai Indian stores as well. if we have traditional parades through China town say once a year during summer when people go on holiday it will bring in tourists and people from these countries to Bradford putting Bradford on the map not just in England but globally as well. Using anecdotes about all the different types of food will make them look back at the first time they had a succulent melting prawn cracker with sweet sour sauce or the first time you had a sweet chicken korma and salted poppadom. The best part is this will have foods for vegetarians and halal, so it appeals to everyone. I will tell them the advantages of bringing in a China town financially and economically which would be especially helpful during this time with inflation after lockdown. It will appeal to every generation and will be most enjoyable for everyone as a family or even as a night out.  It would bring colour to Bradford and make it stand out in Yorkshire especially since Leeds doesn’t have one so now people will go to Bradford and make it known to people nationwide and possibly globally as well.

The city of culture means that Bradford can show its creative side through culture and explore more of the creative arts such as films and paintings, beauty and music. Doing this will make art and the culture more accessible to everyone.

We are delighted that Bradford has been given the prestigious title of City of Culture 2025. We are looking forward to working with Bradford to make their programme an amazing success and to help share its fascinating heritage on a worldwide stage.

Says Eilis McGuinness, Chief Executive at The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The UK City of Culture is a designation given to a city in the United Kingdom for a year, during which the successful bidder hosts cultural festivities for the year The nationwide programme, which is administered by the UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in collaboration with the devolved governments of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, is to build on the success of Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture 2008, which had significant social and economic benefits for the area. Bids solely in Greater London are excluded from the competition.

This means that Bradford will be hosting cultural led events and encourage more people to come to Bradford for the festivities showing their creative side and bring the whole community and the younger generation together with more and more younger people looking for jobs within creative media this could increase their cultural knowledge.
