Reflect on the progress you have made so far for this project. 

I have made quite a lot of progress on this project I have been practicing my practical skills in class as well as at home. 

I have also been adding to my sketch book for project one and have made a lot of progress with it. 

What 3 skills have you developed so far during this project? 

  1. I have learnt how to blend colour better in my practical class 
  1. I have developed better communication skill since starting this project  
  1. I have developed better SFX skills from taking notes during demos 

What skills do you think you need to continue to develop during this project? 

I need to keep developing my communication skills through this project as well as keeping up with time management.

I am happy with the outcome so far however I feel like I need to take more photos during demos. 

How do you think this project will help you in your next step on the course? 

It will help me develop my skill in the makeup industry as well as I can use the skills, I have learnt on future projects.

I have made progress in developing my sketch book and I have been showing a lot of new skills through demos in class. 

What activities and techniques have you used in sessions to support the development of your work? Please talk about what you have learnt about these techniques and how they may be useful for you in the future.  

I have learnt how to colour correct this will be helpful for me in the future as it helps me to create a base for my clients and is an important skill to have. 

I have learnt how to create SFX cut and bruises this will be helpful for the future as I can use this in my career as well as other projects. 

What is your role in the overall project? Tell me what your responsibilities are as part of this role.  

My role in this project is to create a makeup look based of my actor’s character. 

My reasonability’s for this role is to make sure my client is safe as well as make sure all equipment and surfaces are sanitized.  

How well are you working on your role? 

I think I am working well on my role, and I have started to create some design plans. 

How well are you working as a whole company team? 

We are all working well and communicating together about the project as well as helping each other when we need it. 

Who is your project for? Please tell me about your target audience.  

The project is for the general public and is for all ages to come see. 

Carry out research into the various theatre roles below, please present the roles and responsibilities of each role. 

Stage Manager: a stage manager helps the director as well as oversee sets, props, lights, and sound and calls all technical cues during performances. 

Set Designer: a set designer is someone in charge of designing and creating sets for film, television, and theatre. 

Lighting Technician: lighting technician set up and work the lighting for performances and other things like concerts. 

Sound Technician: sound technician set up and organise the sound for performances making sure everything is working how it should be. 

Make-up Artists: creating images and characters through the medium of makeup, hairstyles, and prosthetics according to the brief. 

Actor: portrays a character in a story such as plays, musicals, film, television, and radio shows. 

Choreographer: design sequences of steps and movements usually accompanied by music.  

Animator: use sequential images of drawings and models to produce films for commercials and other things like computer games. 

Arts Administrator: helps to organise events and exhibition, manage staff, and look after buildings like theatres or museums. 

Costume Designer: responsible for overall look of the clothes and costumes in theatre, film, or television productions. 

Singer: someone who vocalizes musical sounds with tone and pitch. 

Creative Director: a team that create, plan, and deliver a strategic vision for clients. 

Playwright: write the scripts for plays, which go on to be staged in theatrical productions. 

Prop Maker: create objects for use in films, TV programmes and the theatre. 

Front of House: ensure that victors enjoy accessible, hospitable, and entertaining experiences in theatre establishments.

Wedding makeup, performance makeup, prosthetics technician  

What health and safety issues may affect the safety of the performers, the audience and yourself throughout this project? 

Hazards and risks such as spilt chemicals or fire exits being blocked. 

What will you do to manage the risk of these issues? 

Make use people are wearing PPE all services and tools are wiped down and disinfected after each actor. Make sure chemicals are stored in a safe place and are signed in and out when used. Make sure all fire exits are available and not blocked by anything and that there is a fire extinguisher available in each area.
