Performances and Evaluations

As a group they was a few challenges, the main one was our anxiety when preparing to perform and when on stage, to help contain our anxiety we did structured breathing methods suggested by our music tutor.

Another challenge was making sure our instruments was at the correct volume individually to match the velocity of the actual song we was preforming.

One thing we struggled with all together was involving the crowd and being enthusiastic when engaging which we later evolved which could have been improved even further.

The technical aspects such as sound quality and lighting met the standards by zoning on the individual performers who performed making the audience engage more and focus on the performers in front of them.

What went well was you could see how much each band improved from clip to clip, things as lyrics being remembered, enthusiasm, vocal project etc.

Another thing what went well was that the audience was engaged and was cheering with enjoyment throughout the whole show, suggesting it was a satisfying performance from all the bands.

Especially the end when the last band got the whole crowd to chant and stand the song along with them and respond on command, which impressed both the performers and crowd members.

For things to improve on as a band as a whole is mastering the ending of the song which will make our performance sound more professional.

For future performances i would like to improve my stage presence by moving around more by being confident in my self instead of simply clapping and moving to the rhythm of the beat on the spot

What i learned was don’t be filled up with anxiety because the crowd isn’t against you they are there for you and what you to perform well, having this mindset after the mocks really helped my confidence which is show between the two difference between the two clips.

A way rehearsing could have been more effective is by rehearsing at home and listening through the song to learn when a bridge or chorus starts.
