Studio Recording

Whilst I was studio recording I did not have much difficulties.

I would say it was pretty easy especially when I was recording the vocals we rehearsed our song so much that when I recorded the vocals I did it in one take without any problems. When we were recording the instrumental the band had no problem recording either we just took multiple takes to see if we can outdo our last take until we reached the point where we believed it was our best take.

recording ad libs for the song was pretty easy as well and only took around ten to twelve minutes to do. There was no audio problems through headphones whilst recording we could all hear each other just fine and really made the recording process much easier.

As I said we did multiple recordings not because we constantly failed but because we were trying to record our best take I believe us taking multiple takes really benefitted us as we all later got really warmed up and put more emotion into our playing each time we did a different take. If we just decided to use our first take and jump straight onto the vocals I believe the song would sound drastically different.

recording with a metronome luckily was not much of a challenge as we have a really skilled drummer in our band you can hear in the song sometimes it sounds like the bass and drums are lagging behind and trying to catch on to each other but I think it doesn’t sound too bad and is manageable to listen to.

Overall my experience recording in a studio was pretty nice I didn’t have many difficulties the band went into the studio and recorded the song the same way we rehearsed it and got it finished pretty fast.
