- place as far as possible
- chained to the ground, wall, ceiling so it does not fall
- heavy equipment can cause back pain when being picked up
- need to learn and be taught how to pick up heavy equipment
Sound dangers and preventions
- If sound isn’t kept at a stable safe level during an event it can cause hearing loss, hearing damage and tinnitus
- Ear plugs so you don’t hear everything as loud as it is
- Try to keep sounds levels at 100 DB and below
cable dangers and prevention
- cable protectors all around the venue
- can cause huge injury to the performers or anyone who is on stage
- try to not place cables in middle of stage but rather around it
- tripping over cables may also damage equipment
- try to use as least amount of cables use wireless microphones as an example
security
- security all around the venue especially the performers
- if there is no security at the venue everything will be out of control and the crowd may cause havoc
- security outside of the venue
emergency help outside and inside the venue
- if somebody gets hurt or has a very bad injury emergencies will already be in the building helping them as fast as possible
- fire fighters close nearby if there is a fire they can extinguish it
venue capacity
- have a safe crowd capacity to prevent it from being overcrowded
- if this isn’t done people will be pushing and shoving each other some may fall and get trampled on causing critical injuries
- choose a venue with large areas so the crowd will have more space to move around
crowd disorder
- a huge fight may break out during a concert
- to prevent from more people getting hurt from being in the middle of the fight have a huge exit for people to easily exit
- have security at the venue to stop the fight
fire dangers and preventions
- all of the equipment may cause a fire from a drink or overheating
- no drinks on stage or near equipment
- multiple fire extinguishers all around the venue on stage and also near the crowd
- fire fighter nearby the venue
Covid-19
- to prevent people from catching covid-19 you may have a concert were wearing masks is a must
- during a pandemic try to use small venues with not such a huge crowd so if 1 person has it during the concert they wont be able to spread around the virus as much decreasing the amount of people getting affected
The Sugarland stage collapse in Indiana
A whole stage collapsed at a Indiana stage fair which killed over 7 people and critically injured over 100 people
The stage collapsed because of a horrendous storm people were rushing towards the stage in excitement to see the performance but right as they rushed towards the stage the storm got stronger and made the stage collapsed they should’ve cancelled the show completely as soon as the storm started as performing in this weather isnt suitable at all.
They couldn’t have done much to prevent this
