This is my project evaluation
Overall I really enjoyed this working on this project I enjoyed working with Lukass, Marcel and Joseph as a band even though I didn’t enjoy stand by me much I just loved playing as a band with my friends and rehearsing with them and would definitely do it again but with songs that I am into more.
I loved working with marcel completing the EP it was really fun and something I want to experience more I loved finding samples and producing the tracks. I liked the chemistry between me and marcel how we bounced ideas off of each other and made the tracks work.
I learned a lot from this project especially with things like planning and structuring work where I need to take time completing tracks and rehearsing but also take time to complete written work and always remember to record myself for evidence. I learned a lot about mixing from my tutor Eric he taught me how to use EQ better and the compressor better. I learned a lot of new techniques and skills on the guitar throughout this project as well such as my improvisation skills and overall improved my hearing with music.
I guess the biggest thing I learnt throughout this project is learning how to listen instead of not taking any advice in I should actually take it and use it as it can help me drastically.
I have very mixed feelings about the performances as I know I can do much better an am kind of disappointed but I can always redeem myself next year.
For my next project I will probably do another hip hop EP but this time I want to record all the beats with live instruments so the quality isn’t horrible. I will also teach myself how to mix better as I am still absolutely horrible at it and need to improve drastically.
If I will be working in a band next time again I would like to perform only originals and would like to be the lead singer of the band.
But I have no Idea how I will feel by next so my aims for next year are unknown as I like to create what I feel at the moment.
Overall I really enjoyed this project and I am really looking forward for my next one
