These are all of my Initial ideas for my final project.
Hip Hop funk Soul Album – I would like to create a Hip hop funk soul album with lots of chopped samples and use a variety of instruments such as brass orchestra synths and more i would want this album to explode with energy and soul. My main inspiration for this album are from artists like Janis Joplin, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, and even from bands like Guns N Roses. I don’t have a full idea for what the subjects for the album are going to be but I also feel like making a hip hop album people can put on and enjoy. A really soulful funk rap album without much context for the album itself just great instrumentals with catchy melodies and lyrics.
Funk Rock with a bit of blues Album – Another idea I have for my final project is teaming up with people to be in a band and make a funk rock album although I am not 100% sure I want to do this as I know there will be a lot of arguing and people going back and forth against each other as we all will have a different vision for the album we are trying to make. I also know myself Im not going to be the calmest or the most cooperative when sharing ideas. This idea honestly depends on circumstances and how I feel at the moment. This idea jumped into my head by listening to a lot of funk and rock albums (Appetite for destruction, Off The Wall, Electric Lady Land, Random Access Memories) I really love funk music and rock music and there is not a lot of rock music that is mixed with funk so why not make a funk rock album just for me. I have many visual ideas for this album.
Short Multi Genre Musical – I would also like to create a very short musical that has multiple genres of music mixed with each other I would not want to use any samples for this idea. The musical would be about a teenager dreaming of becoming a Hip Hop artist. The musical would tell stories of how he fell in love with rap music and would unroll into different situations in his life. Although this idea is really cool I do not know if I will do this one as making a musical especially a good musical takes years to make and also needs multiple people on it to act as characters and I do not know if people will agree on working with me. Though in the future I will definitely make this idea come to life. But I may still give it a shot it again all depends on how I feel at the moment.
