This is the final Performance. starting off as we was making our way to the backstage i think everyone was excited as Jozef and lukass went on stage it was me and Robert enjoying their performance they finished the lights went dark and it was our turn with the rest of the band already on stage. I looked around to see if everyone on stage was ready before i introduced us as HMRC . Right after that we went straight into playing the instrumental i was confident during this performance as i was simply just drumming i was confident we knew the structure and we played it quite alright. I think everyone was pretty chill as well. The shades helped me block out the strong lighting and some of the audience as well so that could be useful in the future if im stressed or anxious about going on stage. over all it went alright i enjoyed performing i think we could’ve done a lot better but it is what it is it was fun to be on stage.
As we came to the end of the song people started to applaud i thanked them. And i waited for the applause to quiet down before i introduced the next song i wanted the audience to engage in this song as i feel it would’ve sounded a lot more powerful than me just singing alone. And if they didn’t know the lyrics they could’ve clapped along however none of us really engaged with the crowd apart from introducing so that’s something that could be improved in the future. Throughout the song i forgot the lyrics and this happened to me during rehearsals and what i have noticed is that i get confused coming back in after the chorus so in order to fix something like this in the future i could have some lyrics on a stand nearby and this could’ve prevented it which would’ve resulted in a better performance as it wouldn’t like we weren’t properly rehearsed. we knew the structure of the song quite well in my opinion i felt like the last verse and chorus would’ve been terrible but we actually played it off quite well which im happy about. Its something i would do again but with more rehearsals and even better practice and not to mention different songs.
Immediately after i thanked them i got up to take the microphone off the stand which i was using in the previous song and walked to the front of the stage made sure both me and Robert were ready and i gave a big thumbs up for Lewis to notice which he did and he turned down the music and thats when i introduced the project what it was about i didnt mention that they could find this on YouTube thats something to consider next time. there was a bit of feedback which i was slightly worried about while i was talking which was fixed just before i finished talking. i introduced the song as nothing from nothing which is the original song and immediately noticed and corrected my self and blamed Billy Preston.
Singing and rapping went quite smooth for me im guessing it did for Robert too i tried to move around a little bit but was discouraged as the crowd didn’t engage again we didnt really do anything to engage them so thats kind of our fault. The performance went good i liked it there was little to no feedback during the performance i changed the last verse to singing the actual lyrics from the original song as the verse that was written on our track was quite explicit and not appropriate in this particular crowd however i did mention this and i will mention again. The last verse is Purely Humour it was improvised and its not meant to be taken seriously or personally! The performance went well i think i kind of forgot the lyrics while singing the original lyrics from Billy Preston mainly because i lost track of how many times to sing is however i dont think anyone noticed really. overall is was enjoyable went smooth and i would do something similar again.
