Composition Analysis

Using Ableton was very different to logic pro i found using Ableton a little more challenging . Using the instruments and sounds wasnt necessarily hard however finding the right tempo to make sure the instruments were in sync once it loops was a little challenging. I have tried with a guitar sample and using my own drums it just didnt work because of how the guitar loop was structured it didnt fit with the bars and the drums were too slow so they kind of delayed once it looped and once it did work it just didnt have the right feeling that i wanted i wanted to go for a slow funky almost jazz like sound to it and it sounded nothing like that. However i did make a final track using Ableton which is mostly repetitive and not that interesting in my opinion i think it sounds a little bit boring i was trying to go for a funky rock kind of sound to it. It didnt go as i planned and if i could have more time on Ableton then i would want to get better at it as i think the only reason i did so bad was because of the lack of understanding on how to use Ableton correctly.

Logic pro was enjoyable for me i learnt how to use it to make whatever i wanted sound decent it was much easier to work with it and felt like i could really get the sound i wanted from it. I created a final track on logic that was inspired by a game called halo i tried to recreate the same dramatic effect that brings tension with classical music so i messed around with a few sounds to get a close representation of a violin and drums and it was a very enjoyable thing to do i would definitely love to do something like this again. i would also like to learn how to use logic pro properly and get deeper knowledge on how thing work.
