For my experimentation, I figured I’d use the prints I already made when I was experimenting with stamps to see how I’d like the photography to look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the prints I’ll be using:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<– For this one, I drew shapes on top of the squares with white and changed the layer settings to overlay. It keeps the texture from the lino so I like how it looks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here I added black lines and circles on top of the shapes. —><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the kind of design I had in mind when sketching ideas for my final pieces and I still really like how it looks. I’m going to test other ideas, but I think I choose this for my design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<– I added an overlay effect to the layer which gave it a cool look like the square one I did previously. However, because of the colour I chose for the print, it went dark blue which I don’t like.<\/p>\n\n\n

Here I changed the lines from black to white to see which I prefered. –><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not sure which prefer cause I like how both black and white lines look. I might ask people what their opinions are to see which everyone else thinks is better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here I decided to draw some flowers and leaves in the squares since I had researched flowers in this project. However, I don’t think I like how this looks, so while I would like to include flowers in this, I prefer the shapes being added onto the print<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, from what I’ve gathered from this experimentation, is that drawing shapes in the print look good and that I can see if overlaying the drawing looks good on the print. If it goes well with all 3 then I’ll keep the layer on overlay. If not, I’ll just leave it the way it was before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After looking at all the pieces I’ve done here, I’ve decided that this design is my favourite, so I’ll be using this one as my main inspiration for my final piece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is because I like the way the lines look since while they don’t stand out too much, they add to the piece in a nice way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had also decided previously that the lino print I’ll be making for my final piece will also be inspired by the print I tested this on, so this piece will work well for inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
