Here are my designs for the front of my jacket. I knew that I want to add spikes and patches so I added that to all of these designs. I sent all of these designs to multiple people to see which they all preferred. All of them said they preferred the 1st one, since “the colours match better.” they also liked the string on the shoulder, saying it reminded them of flames, so I will make sure to add that to my jacket. So when I’m making my jacket, I will need red, white and black paint as well as red, orange and yellow string. I’ll make sure to get those before I start making my final piece.
Here are my designs for the back of the jacket. I decided to design a simple design and a more complicated design. The simple one reminds me more of the punk jackets I researched but the one with the skull looks better so I asked people what they thought. The majority said that they preferred the skull design so that’s the one I’m going to use.
The inspiration for the skull came from researching graffiti earlier in the project. I wanted to replicate the style and include it in the art. I like how it looks since it gives the crowded look I mentioned earlier in the project that I liked.
