Unit 12 – Proposal

The end of year fashion concept is ‘House of Schiaparelli’ theme, I have decided upon a hallucinogenic style however what I don’t mean is someone or something experiencing a fever dream or having a wonderful time in la land what I’d like to aim from the audience is have the model designed as the hallucinogenic mushroom themself and act as though the audience is feeling the effects hallucinogen. With this being body paint included I will be using U.V paint/ glow in the dark paint to have the show underneath I did spot this product in super drug for £5.99 as well as body paint from Samantha Helen that was £20, for the model’s clothes I’d like gothic or ripped clothes with a corset for easy application I will be taking reference photos of both hallucinogenic fungus and Schiaparelli images as this will aid both me and my model portray this idea towards the eye of the audience.

The headpiece designs: I was given the idea of a vape crown however I realized it might not be ideal to be represented across to the public as well as it could be too heavy for the model to wear for a certain amount of time which is why I will be designing a fungus crown with moths; these will be butterfly clips painted to look like moths with cotton bud fluff as smoke the fungus I can either create with hot glue or find small mushroom decorations to put on top of the crown with dangling gems to represent an inky caps but glowing. The hair will play off as simple but still fitting the theme of clothes; space buns with spikey and dangling decorations in the hair I may place braid into the hair to give some texture to it so it’s so dead simple, the makeup will have black eyeshadow and lips, so the body paint is center of attention I am determined this time to use fake eyelashes as well as they will give volume to the eyes there will be wavey lines to appear and hallucinogenic effects and dots to act as droplets like the inky cap mushroom.

Over view on price, budget and back up looks U.V paint from Superdrug is £5.99, face paint from Samantha Helen is £20 which I already have and will use as a base for the U.V paint to be more pigmented upon as it will shine through more, my budget will consist with my cash pay from my job which is £40; the back-up plan looks are carnival themed and crystal themed in my previous work body paint is part of my comfort zone it a technique I have used before however I will be pushing myself to do the headpiece as I haven’t done this before nor the eyelashes but I feel the play more than an important part in the final look there will be small jewelry items used in this look as well rings, earrings, necklaces .
