Research <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women <\/u><\/b><\/span>criticised driving fast and expensive car<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This news really caught my attention because Maya worked really hard and bought a car with her own money, but she still got criticised by men. The comments made were \u201cbought with daddy\u2019s money\u201d and \u201cyou can\u2019t park without scratching.\u201d These comments are unnecessary to make, if it was a male driving a fast and expensive car no one would criticise. I believe this is why we see less women driving expensive and fast cars, it\u2019s made out as a negative thing, and it makes females feel less confident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya also mentioned, \u201cthe cars she drives affected her personal relationships,\u201d this shows that the cars she drives were a negative to others. A lot of male drive fast cars but they\u2019ve not had issues. This highlights people were jealous of her life, even though she worked hard and has her own business and she\u2019s a millionaire. These comments can affect females and discourage them to buy a car they really want. Females driving expensive fast cars should be normalised and females should feel confident and happy driving on the roads without worrying about what people will think or say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of car advertisements are always targeted at men, and they always seen as successful, strong and rich. \u201cLuxury sports car brands are most guilty of being too masculine in their advertising.\u201d I agree with this because women may not feel comfortable driving fast and expensive cars. Car advertisement\u2019s always show and encourage men as powerful and intelligent this makes them more confident and have the thought of being higher and having more power than women. Car brands need to make more advertisements to encourage women to buy and drive expensive cars because anyone can drive if they have a driving licence and driving safely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BMW advertisement posters are shown as muscular, the colours are dark and the quotes are powerful. “Fasterpiece” and “born on track,” the posters are presented as fast this inspires men to speed and to show off this is why women don\u2019t feel comfortable because they get judged and are expected to drive the same as men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mercedes Benz<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mercedes Benz began in 1886, Karl Benz was the engineer who invented the world’s first car. \u201cMercedes Benz is one of the world’s most successful automotive companies, it’s one of the oldest car makers, today it’s known for luxury cars.\u201d The reason I chose Mercedes Benz was its reliability, \u201cthe cars are known to last more than 15 to 17 years.\u201d I also chose Mercedes Benz because it has \u201cpositive driving experience, the cars include heated seats, comfortable leather seats and air conditioning.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have sat in a Mercedes Benz car and from my experience it’s comfortable, the interior and exterior details are impressive and incredible. I really want to encourage lots of people to buy a car from Mercedes Benz especially females. I really hope my advertisement makes a difference and encourages lots of women to buy and drive new and fast cars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I really like the Mercedes Benz 2015 advertisement, it really inspired me to make an advertisement for my project. The videos really eye catching, the details in both cars are remarkable. The cars driving are shown as smooth and comfortable. The video does not show the cars as fast or muscular, this is a positive thing because most advertisements produce expensive cars as fast, this discourages people to buy because it makes them feel nervous and uncomfortable as not a lot of people like to speed but advertisements encourage it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
