Task 4

FMP

Evaluation

The thing that went well on this project was the advertisement video I made. I really focused on the editing, I like how the video looks, the transitions I used made the video look more detailed. The part that was frustrating for me was that I was meant to film an electric car however it got sold. A lot of people recommended to film an electric car because it’s the future. I didn’t have enough time to contact another place, so I filmed an automatic car in Mercedes Benz. The part I would change next time is to focus on time management and planning, in the previous project I have worked in groups, this time I did it all alone, it was challenging but I’m good at problem solving so I always found ways to achieve my goal. I learnt so much with this project, my editing and computer skills have become excellent. I had some experience with camera and angles from projects before, so I was ready to film. Overall, this is the best project I’ve ever done, I really focused on the details of the car, I did lots of research about car advertisements to get more ideas and finding ways of how to make my project stand out.

Evaluation Process

What methods did you use to maintain an ongoing evaluative and reflective approach?

I used a timetable and made a reflective journal; I wrote about what I did every week and then I reflected on it. I also got feedback from family and friends every time I did some work.

What reflective model did you use, if any?

I made a detailed journal about the work I did every week and reflected on it.

Rate the thoroughness of your evaluations.

I rate it a 10/10

Evaluation Influencing Your Work

In what ways did you use evaluations to influence your decision making?

I always did an evaluation even if my project was good, I used evaluation every time because it really helps me and give me more ideas.

How effective was your evaluative process in influencing your decision making throughout your project?

The evaluative process was effective it helped me a lot throughout my project. I got more ideas on what to add to my project and how to make it look better.

Project Development

Did you meet your stated aims?

Yes, I did meet my aims, my project topic was marketing, looking back at my project I feel confident and happy with everything.

How does your work compare with your professional research?

I got my ideas from social media, I looked at the camera angles and the details that are used in car advertisement.

Did you make any changes? Why? How did your concept develop?

I was meant to film and advertise an electric car; my classmates recommended it. I did have an electric car to film but when I went back to film for my project it was sold so I had to choose a car from the showroom to film. This wasn’t a big issue to me because I just wanted to film a car to encourage females to buy.

Does the finished product appeal to the target audience?

Yes, I have showed my project to people mainly to females because they were my target audience. I have had good positive feedbacks and I’ve also encouraged females to buy from the showroom I filmed at.

How well does the product reflect your skills and the things you have learnt this year?

The product reflects well on my skills, I had some problems that I solved, I did the filming and editing by myself this built my confidence a lot more. I feel more confident using premier pro now, I have used it before but not a lot.

Is it an accurate reflection of your skills? Are you proud of it?

Yes, it is an accurate reflection of skills, I am really pleased with how it all turned out.

What would you do differently next time? What did you learn?

Next time I would plan and organise properly my documents were not organised this made it harder to find.

What would you do differently if you had a larger/unlimited budget?

Next time I would rent a car and get someone to drive it, I have seen lots of advertisements where people drive the cars, this makes it more attractive and better it would also get more attention from people.

Final Product

Rate your commitment to and engagement with the project.

I would rate it a 10/10 I worked hard with this project by myself, it was hard, but I put all my effort in. I have always wanted to make a car advertisement, so I was really excited to do this project.

What professional qualities have you demonstrated during this project?

The professional qualities that I demonstrated was editing, contacting showrooms, filming in public and interacting with lots of people.

Discuss and assess the success of your final product/performance.

My final project was a success, the quality looks professional, I have inspired females to buy cars, this was my goal, and I was a success. I am very happy that my project has had a positive impact already.
