Mode of address:
The advert shown above is promoting toys for both girls and boys. It’s caption “get set for toys, get set for 1/3 off” is not only set for kids but there parents, As in the background and caption they mention toys like Barbie, Hot wheels, Monster High and they mention 1/3 off for parents. In this scenario if the children ask there parents, the parent would be convinced as not only there’s a variety of options but its 33% off.
Also as shown at the end the Ad is vaguely demanding the viewer by captioning “Go Argos” after presenting multiple items.
Camera / editing techniques:
The ad starts and ends of with a long shot of the white backdrop set filming the outburst of toys, I believe this is to show the audience on the variety of toys that are available and to lure them in.
further on the ad at 0:07 to 0:09 has a extreme close up shot of the toys, accessories and many other cool items flying into the air. With this the editor has slowed the speed of the clip down to detail on what is available and send a message to potential buyers that they have several items they could buy. With this shown there style and technique, In the advert they have shown a slow motion of multiple items and toys, a longshot of multiple items and set a offer to caption “Go Argos”. By this the viewer would become interested and visit Argos to see what they could buy.
