1: Life, achievements and impact on the world
Key moments of my life all include one thing: Music. At age 6, I took a liking to piano, at age 10 I wrote songs and sang, by age 14 I was a prodigy at the subject and gained a lot of attention for it in high school. I used my music as a way to help other students persuing the subject and performed at arenas with the help of my music teacher. I faced a lot of obstacles that stopped me from becoming who I am today, those being family , friends and classmates; but I continued to push myself and learn because I wasn’t going to let peoples words affect me and what I love.
2: Key elements
Key elements I’d include in my work would be, the colour blue, it signifies sadness but tranquility which is what I feel my music impacted on me as a child. I want people to look at my images and not just see beauty of music but the sadness behind it too. I want to use a guitar as my main prop because it’s an instrument I work best with even after years of playing piano.
3: Medium
I think my medium would be a photographic collage. I take pride in my photography and my guitar and feel as though several images of the guitar going through a journey as a collage would be something that describes me best.
4: Storyboard or Sketch layout

5: Artistic Techniques
Colour use, monotone, bright, angles, facial expressions
6: Incorporating text
“Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul needs” – This quote I have had saved in my sheet music for years. It brings me comfort and also reminds me why music is so important to me and many others. I incorporated it into my work because the use of that quote works with the blues of my project and blends to bring partial sadness but recognition that music isn’t always happy and can be negative; just how medicine can help but also be deadly.
7: Reflection
This project has helped me view myself a little as a creative artist, and also brought a little insight into my mind and how I work. I feel as though I may have been better at this if I was more open and free but I like how I went about this and I think it shows who I am as a person and what makes me feel alive.
The collage itself:
