Woodstock 99 was supposed to be a millennium-defining celebration of peace love and music. Instead, the festive degenerated into an epic train wreck of fires, riots and destruction. This is because the setup and organisation of the event was done extremely bad which was why it was a travesty and had no control. The reason they had no real setup and organisation is because they were glossing over the whole situation of the event which is why a great mass of people turned into animals due to all of the energy and male egos that was there.
Woodstock 99 could’ve been the biggest and greatest party of all time if the organisers were not greedy and planned everything out properly. They should’ve had a ton of a lot more security there to keep everything and everyone safe and they didn’t because of greed and didn’t wanna spend more money on security knowing full well how many people were going to come. Also their greed led to riots because of charging $10 for water and $150+ for a ticket and people felt like they were just making money of them and people were angry. Which overall led people to act like animals in huge herds which was the cause of the end of the festive because of a huge fire.
