Aim – The aim of my project is to learn, engineer, record, produce and realise a 3 track EP of cover songs using Logic Pro X and release it on YouTube with accompanying artwork. I aim to complete all aspects of the project by myself, including the performance and recording of all parts.
Objective
- Decide what songs i’m covering.
- Learn all the song parts and rehearse them.
- Complete the planning and proposal. ( by week 21)
- Make a schedule and weekly targets to keep track of my progression.
- Start and finish the needed written information such as context and research like, researching how to play the specific songs and how the bands recorded the specific songs and the unique producing qualities and elements of the songs. (1 week)
- Decide what mics, instruments and equipment I will need.
- Start and finish the recording of my project. (2 weeks)
- Start and finish the mixing and mastering of my project. (1 week)
- Start and finish the artwork to accompany my covers. (1 week)
- Start and finish the evaluation and reflection of my project. (2 weeks)
- Complete all of the above by the given deadline. (by week 31)
Target Audience – My target audience is no one in particular as I am doing this project for myself but it will be on YouTube if people who are fans of the original want to check it out or even just people in general who are interested in anything I do musically.
