We both wanted to do something energetic because our product was a axe so it was the best way to advertise it, we got the inspiration from some ads we saw on the internet.
In both ads theres a lot of action and scenes are very professional and they look like a movie, they are full of energy and catchy scenes and dialogues, In the first one we can see how the stunt man jumps of a cliff after drinking Mountain Dew showing that if you drink that you’ll be cool, fearless, and Brave.
In the second add we can see how Shah Rukh Khan is doing a lot of action scenes, the add communicates us that if you wanna be cool and look like him you have to drink that Fizzy drink that he is consuming in the add.
We added many ideas, as cosplay tool, decoration, kids toy, but we ended up using kids toy because it was the most realistic one, and the one that most suit the object (Rubber Axe)
So i decided to make the add energetic and quick as the ones i showed you.
While we were recording our add we did record it in c18 because there is a lot of light in there so we could see it clearly we did like 20 shots and we used like 12 of the the ones that were right we did a lot of shots because of the lack of experience. After we were doing the shots in the room we decided to use the green screen to add good background in the video, and also because it was a good place for it, I did a shot in there presenting the product I did that in two very different ways, in the first shot i got the camera very close of the product and then zoom out to show the product slowly, i got that shot 3 times because in the first one the camera was shaking i the second one the camera was showing the parts that weren’t in the green screen, and the last one and the 3rd shot was the good one that I kept, the second way of presenting the product(the one that I used) was very different. I showed the end of the product and then proceeded to show the whole product slowly moving the camera back and forward. After that we did use the product to hit some different type of things to show the resistance and good quality of the product (rubber axe) we did use it to hit the wall, the table,a tree, a door,etc, and finally we did use it in a person to show that it’s a safe product and is safe to use for kids, but you can also use it for a cosplay or Halloween costume.
