“Subh Mangal Zyaada Savdhan”
This movie connects with me and thousand of other people around the world and not just that it also is a very unique movie that is very revolutionary is the first ever openly LGBTQ+ movie
“Subh Mangal Zyaada Savdhan” It was the first ever openly LGBTQ+ movie that was released in India, and it was a historic moment, it changed Indian cinema for better, thanks to that movie, there where more movies released that were related to the LGBTQ+ and were a good representation movies like “Badhaai Do” which was another LGBTQ movie, this movies made me very happy and inspired me, they were protagonist by the best actors of the industry, which made me feel like “They didn’t had any need to do this movie, they were at their best, they could have done so many different movies and they still choose to do this movie out of love” the both movies have amazing actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Jitendra Kumar more known as Jeetu in “Subh Mangal Zyaada Savdhan” And some really good actors in “Badhaahi Do” Actors like “Rajkumar Rao” and “Bhumi Pednekar” who won a award for her role as a Lesbian Woman, and the male actor who played a gay man role, both actors won a FilmFare award (which is equivalent to a Oscar in India) and dedicated the award to the LGBTQ+ Community, This inspires me a lot because all the actors where in the best time of their carrier, and they still did this movie which they knew it will bring lots of controversy and it will struggle at the box office because of the homophobia that there is in the industry and also is a Taboo in the country, this made me cry inspired me and made me happier than any other movies I ever watched, they’re a true inspiration for me because is not just the movie they did about the LGBTQ+ community but also the amazing and very skilled and talented Artist they’re.
This movies helped and inspired a whole generation, and made the LGBTQ+ movies more normalised, the LGBTQ+community in countries like India\Pakistan, this movies meant a huge inspiration for them, and something that made them he more hope and positivity towards the society evolving and becoming more progressive, because cinema is a huge thing in India and Pakistan and people are very influenced by it, so this both movies that screamed “LOVE IS LOVE” and also supported the community so much and were great representations of gay people,
