Starting out, I was a little confused on where I was and what part I was playing, but i eventually got it, as a first Rehearsal, I think I played it well, but I still have a lot of work to do, I just need to Nail it the Strings and when to play the Bass Section of the Strings with String Melody
I played the String Melody and Bass Section a lot better this time and i got the timing a lot more on Point with the Beat, the only thing that needs work on is possibly adding more Notes to the Bass Section for Width to get the Audiences Attention and keep them Excited and Invigorated
For the first song Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio, all i had to do was play strings on the left hand and i played it almost perfectly with a few hiccups here and there.
Overall I played my part in the first song well
For the second song I’ll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy, i was playing a slightly more complex pattern than my skill level could handle without practicing it too much. I got confused for when it came to the second half of said pattern and just waited until i could play the part I could play at the time.
( I have it down and i know how to do it now )
For the third and final song Zombie by the Cranberries, I am actually playing Bass and its a new thing to me, my first song ever played with bass and it turns out I quite liked it and ended up buying one for practice at home.
The bassline is fairly simple and manageable for me and I put my own twist on it to make it more interesting to hear.
For this rehearsal, we practiced Topping and Tailing or Intro and Outro and we also practiced talking in-between songs while some are switching over to different instruments to fill in the space between switchovers and to make sure the audience doesn’t lose interest
( I don’t know why they were two separate recordings instead of all in one, something must have gone wrong and they ended up splitting )
Unfortunately there was no video for this recording but i think that the audio is enough to tell that without a singer we can be a bit disorganised and cant get the songs timing correctly somehow. If you hear closely, you can hear that I’ve improved on my part in this track
As you can see, we improved together as a group than individually and on our own and that meant that we improved together too, i got better at strings, Ashton on Vocals with Lainey too, Josef and Lucas on Guitar, Kaitlyn on Bass and Gideon with a Tambourine
