Recording

For my First recording session, i recorded myself through FL Studio playing around with things i had in my room to try and make drums with.

First Recording Session, i had banged on my desk to create a low kick like sound and used my beatboxing skills to create a kick

I had used my desk as a drum kick by banging my hand on it to create some kind of Sub-Bass sound
WWW:
It didnt take too long and it was easy to do and set up
Improvement for next time:
I could definitely use more things other than whats on my desk next time, maybe find something that actually feels like an instrument

I used this Recording for the Hi Hats in the second section of the song

I used my teeth to create the Hi Hats by making a “Ts” sound with my tongue and teeth to recreate the sound of a Basic Hi Hat
WWW:
this wasnt very difficult to do, making it easy and quick to record
Improvement for next time:
I will think using something to help reduce background noise + White Noise so then it should only be me heard through the microphone and not much else

This session was just a bunch of sounds using things in my room and a makeshift kick box i made, but kind of opposite, it was a small first aid box with a sponge and the corners of it filled with Bed quilt filling to dampen the inside of it

I used a couple things that were in my desks drawers and also on my desk too, like a simple chain, a stone mushroom (ornament) and a simple, empty First Aid Box that was in my drawers
WWW:
I think the thing that went well most was the improvisation for making a Kick out of a Sponge, some quilt filler and a small plastic box as well as using a stone mushroom as a rimshot/snare ( i tapped the box with said mushroom and in different ways

For some extra effects to make it sound like actual drums, i used two compressors for both the second and third recording, the first one only uses 1 compressor (all of the above are using the OTT Compressor by Xfer)
