My microphones position is in between my PC Monitors and is about 16 inches away from my face making a good distance away from me as its not too close for it to peak
My Microphone is the Blue Snowball Tripod Microphone and i think its a good, affordable microphone that works very well on its own for recording.
The microphone is both Cardioid and Omnidirectional, meaning its good for both Direct and all around recording and even Video Calls or Voice Calls
I preferably use a Soundcard because its much simpler to use than an entire mixing deck ( im biased as i cant afford the room in my bedroom for a Mixing Deck and might not for a long time )
The software im using for everything in my music is FL Studio 21 ( it got updated ) and it is by far the best one i could recommend for beginners or anyone thats just starting out Music as it may be best DAW* for Production in my opinion and is very easy to learn and has a friendly looking software compared to others
*DAW – Digital Audio Workshop/Workstation
A live recording is capturing all of the sounds from a single live performance, without overdubbing. A multitrack recording is the combination of multiple sound sources to create a song with all instruments and other things into a conglomerate of different sounds into a singular recording. Overdubbing is the combining a new performances with existing recorded performances.
Analog audio is produced using tapes and manual recording equipment. While digital uses a computer software program for music production to record, mix, master, and produce music
Volume is the terminology to determine the loudness and quietness of something and Panning means which side of your hearing is the sound being played and when the panning merges into the middle and cant be heard in a Stereo format, that is called Mono, meaning the Audio is directly in-front of you
Reverb is basically just making something sound longer while making it fade out and Delay is like the Echo of the same sound over and over until its volume fades out
If i could mention any other useful effects, it could be modulators, they morph and change the frequency of the sound you’re using and turning it into something thats sounds entirely different
I would recommend using an EQ on the master and cutting of about 30-40 kHz take free up the low end and balance it out really well and if you can, balance out any EQ’s and use a Plugin like Maximus ( Fl Studio Plugin ) and use the Preset Clear Master and then all you have to do is balance out what feels right to you and you Mastering should be done
