Culture-proposal
My chosen theme is Eid, I have decided this because Eid for me is meaningful like you meet up with family, friends and eat together it’s time to enjoy the day give money -get money and spend quality time. Eid is a special occasion for Muslims and it has a small Eid and big Eid this is because the small Eid two-three and the big Eid is three-four. Where new clothes are worn and kids get money. We make a lot food then as well and eat to our fullest.
For this project I am going do my designs/ ideas/ planning and make my sketchbook pages colourful and interesting. I will be using a range of mix media like paint and watercolours, I am planning on doing research on a pattern artist there isn’t an artist really to do with my theme, so I will be needing to do that. I am planning on my final pieces in the darkroom, by using some of the images of the henna mood board to create a flowery design but won’t be using actual henna. Overall, I am going to do workshops like mark making, darkroom etc and try to incorporate in my ideas. Hopefully by the end of this project I want to achieve by adding my own work, creating work and being present my work in a way that is acceptable when comes to marking including my final piece, these are the things which I didn’t do in the first project.

for this we were supposed to go on adobe Photoshop, my pictures wouldn’t upload on Photoshop. So I went on an app stop slow motion to do this . The pictures that I took on app didn’t come clear and background wise as well wasn’t good, but was easier to use.
I had used a cereal box to do do this by drawing the outline of the letters on the back, then used a blade to cut the letters out and stuck them on paper. Using a pencil I drew outline and taped the back to make it firmer to poke the needle in and the thread through, I decided to use blue thread to make it stand out because I think the red and blue goes well together and backstitch as you can see in the photo. I used black paper as the background to make attractive than another white paper. My original idea was different to this however that went wrong so this was the only idea that popped into my head. In my opinion I think it alright I just need to stick my letters on with something stronger and work on a bigger scale.
i added fabric used two small bottles, screwed the lid on top of the fabric. This represents two people together, because on Eid people gather together.
