My first project was with Cancer and Santeria.

Cancer is a song written by My Chemical Romance. it depicts the story of a man who’s dying of cancer. the songs perspective is from a patient who’s going through severe pain due to the disease such as hair loss grogginess and chapped lips. all of this is from the chemotherapy he receives. This song is a dark but nice one. so its weird to thing that I combined it with the song Santeria. but I did. I combined it because the nice soothing instrumental of cancer fit nicely and delightfully with the lyrics.

I chose this song as it reminded me of my brother. not because he had cancer. but because he also died from a condition. this song speaks with me spiritually

Santeria was a song written by sublime. The song has a subtle meaning. of a man whose girl abandons him to go be with someone else and trying several different things to get his girl back. wether it be weapons or voodoo. even going as far to slapping heina down for abandoning him this way while shooting Sancho/sanchito down.

the songs have very different meaning. however that doesn’t mean they don’t fit well with each other. I think that when tempos and pitches are bended slightly. these songs fit together like a puzzle piece to combine the meanings of losing someone. and makes a lovely ballad of a man losing his lover and desperately trying to get her back.

Feel good inc is about a musician who is depressed and has sorrow due to being deprived of all that he enjoys in music. just performing music because someone else tells him too. almost like a metaphor for the music industry. its never really explained wether its actually the reason or not. but its easy to infer.

feel good inc isn’t a song I listened too every day. its one of those songs you heard as a child and remembered when you were an adult I remember it due to Guitar Hero 5 on ps3. its a song I remember fondly though.

Beat it is a song that I didn’t know till I was an adult. made by Michael Jackson its a song about escaping violence. walking away from a fight. its a clear message In the song and the meanings are quite different.

while the songs are extremely different it doesn’t mean they don’t sound well combined. this song combined so well I barely had to do any editing. and I think it sounds great. truth be told there is already a version of feel good inc and beat it on YouTube. however mine is a bit different near the end. so I didn’t delete it. I think it sounds quite good and is worth a listen
