evaluation – Overall unhappy with the piece, but I’ve learned a bit while making it. First of all, it’s unfinished, and the parts are all over, I just kinda made lots of different tracks, and pieced them together. The sound isn’t really what I wanted either, not entirely sure what I was going for anyways, but I think I changed the whole concept over 10 times, and I never fully sorted out dynamics, so some parts are quieter or louder than I wanted, all of this is what ultimately slowed me down. This then leads onto time management. Me been very indecisive made the process longer, and ended up with an unfinished piece. With all the negatives there were still a positive, I’ve learned I enjoy it at-least creating different sounds, and playing with the many different functions, which was quite enjoyable too be honest, I feel like if I practiced and had a go at more songs, I could get considerable better. Better than whatever this is anyways. furthermore, improvements I would make would be to stick with what I initially make, and see what comes of it. There was too may times during the composition I was sat for an hour just messing with one little insignificant part, to then just delete it. which in the end has finished me off with an unfinished piece, which I don’t entirely really like.

Firstly, this is all the different instruments and audio I used and played around with, as you can see there’s plenty of drums, the melody and counter melodies of this piece are also just modified drum sounds, it all really is just drum and bass instrumentation.

This here is the entirety of the piece. In section 1, it’s all a build up for section 2, which is the main beat, section 3 is a short break down that leads into section 4 which then changes the melody and bass slightly. The texture of the piece is thankfully a full texture, I tried to include many instruments and at-lest i succeeded there, I wanted really high notes and really low notes to be played at the same time, and in section 2 this is where i kinda made it work.
