For my final project I would like to experiment with modular synthesis programs to create a melody, chords and a bass part for a track, I will also be researching break beats to perform and record, to be used in Ableton, the track I would like to create will be of a genre along the lines of an electronic / drum and bass, as I enjoy listening to this music, and would like to explore it further.
Reflection
It’s evident I need to do a more in depth research into what I want to do, and how it makes it different to my first year. As I wasn’t happy about the final outcome of my last final project, I wanted to replicate a similar structure to my previous track in the way that I create my own drums, sample some sounds, and create midi, etc, and develop them, as well as experiment, and use more production techniques that I’ve learned through this past year. However now I have the inclusion of synthesisers to add another challenging element, which justifies to me, that this is worth giving a go, as it allows me to have much more experimentation time with different aspects of production, which in the long run will benefit me further.
