Monday – Finish some research pointes and get started on the instrumentation for the track at least get a chord progression and a draft os a bass line and drum loop and use some of the research I mentioned on my proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wednesday – push to make the song get to at the very least the start of the verse but push for the bridge this is very optimistic but I think it may be do able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Working with lewis on Mondays help review my work and finding what I would like to make helps and his talks about production help me understand both songwriting and production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Using my research at this stage wouldn’t help but to know them at this stage helps prepare me for when I do get to mixing my final product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n JOURNAL<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n After finishing my research I had a hard time making songs in the style I wanted so on Monday in my production lesson me and Lewis looked through my past work to show that I can make that style of music already so changing was an obvious decision, a lot of the songs didn’t fit the style I was after and most wasn’t even ones I liked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n After the talk on Monday I had a block so when I was off on Tuesday I opened an empty project on Garage band and come up with something and flow with it and ended up making something I want to evolve more of and possible make it my second song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Back in on Wednesday I had to work on my first song to make a chord progression but had trouble with finding something new so it was an uneventful day I had tried to adapt what I had made the day before but nothing helped I even staying behind wait for something didn’t help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then on Thursday I was off sick but I still tried to find research I could apply to my work, but all the research I find seem to be the same thing or production techniques that wont apply with pop songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The second week had a lot of set backs but also in the early stages of the week I did a lot of work that helped then it did on Wednesday or Thursday, what looked like I did no work. I did a lot of work In terms of songwriting and research on my sick day.
